Life

Kurt Donald Cobain was born in Aberdeen, Washington. A few years after he was born, his parents, Donald and Wendy Cobain gave birth to Kurt's sister, Kimberly. Kurt took interest in music at a young age. He started singing when he was two years old. He grew up a happy kid of a normal American family until he was eight. When he was eight, his parents divorced. He lived with his mom and dad back and forth for a while before his mother kicked him out. He stayed at different friends' houses, then after a while, wound up under a bridge on the banks of the Wishkah River in Aberdeen. Sometimes, he would sneak into the hospital he was born in and sleep in the waiting room. He slept where ever he could find a place to stay.
When he dropped out of school, Kurt got a job. After spending some time at that job, his friend Krist Noveselic graduated and the two of them started the band Nirvana with the drummer Chad Channing. The trio released Bleach before Chad was fired. Then, Nevermind, In Utero, and Insecticide were released with Dave Grohl taking the place of Chad.
Because of nerves, Kurt began to feel stomach pains, leading him to become suicidal. Heroin, which Kurt started when he met Courtney Love, eased those pains. Slipping down into depression, he became more suicidal than before. He used more and more heroin to get high so he didn't feel as depressed.
Nirvana became famous when Nevermind came out with the hit song Smells Like Teen Spirit. This song brought them to the top of the charts. After Kurt died, Smells Like Teen Spirit as well as many other Nevermind and In Utero hits were put on Nirvana's self-titled album put together and released by Sub Pop Records.
