Here are some common theories.

There are people who believe Kurt Cobain was murdered. There is plenty of information out there proving this theory. Personally, I believe Kurt was murdered.


Many seem to believe Kurt took his own life. There is information suggesting that he committed suicide.


Another theory is that Kurt died of an overdose. When he was in Rome on the final leg of the final Nirvana tour, he didn't have access to heroin. After he returned to Seattle, he went on a heroin binge.
