Career

Kurt started his career in the music business with Krist Noveselic, Nirvana's bassist. Chad Channing was the first drummer. He was fired at the very beginning of the recordings for the album Nevermind. So he moved on to start the Seattle band "Before Cars." Then, Dave Grohl, now of the Foo Fighters and Them Crooked Vultures, was hired to take the place of Chad. With Dave, they made hits off of Smells Like Teen Spirit, Come As You Are, and In Bloom. Other hits were Dumb, Rape Me, Heart Shaped Box, and All Apologies from In Utero.
